Page actions are a powerful feature that enable you to design interactive and engaging pages for your members. Whether you are creating programs, courses, events, or live classes, understanding how to implement and customize these actions is essential for a seamless user experience.
Accessing the Actions Tab
To access the 'Actions' tab, navigate to the right-hand sidebar in the Movement admin on any page that uses the page builder (this excludes legacy content types) and click on ‘Actions’.
From this tab, you'll find the option to customize various actions that users can perform on the page.
Join Actions
The 'Join' action is a pivotal feature for programs, courses, events, and live classes. When using our templates.this action is typically represented by a 'Join Program' or 'Join Live Class' button on the top-level homepage of the content item.
Customizing Join Actions
You can rename the 'Join' button to better suit your content. When a member clicks this button, it triggers a 'Start Action'—ushering them into the first step of your program or registering them for a live class or event, for example.
Functionality of Join Actions
The 'Join' action not only initiates the program but also adds the content to the member's schedule. This enables features such as drip-feeding content and scheduling subpages in a live class, event, program or course relative to the member's start date.

Mark Complete
Add a mark complete action to any page or content item that you want your members to check off as complete.
💡 Tip: Test out the ‘Mark Complete’ action for yourself at the bottom of this page.
This action is particularly useful in the context of programs and courses, and is added by default to subpages in all of our program and course templates. 'Mark Complete' is a feature that allows both members and creators to track progress through a program or course. Each time a 'Mark Complete' button is pressed, it updates the member's completion percentage.
Progress Tracking
This progress can be monitored in the 'Engage > Members' section of the admin by the creator, and members can also view their own progress on the program / course’s homepage, or from the ‘My Programs’ section of their account area.
A program with 50% of it’s subpages marked as complete.
A fully completed program with 100% of its subpages marked as complete.
Resetting Progress
Member’s can remove the ‘Marked Complete’ status on a page by hitting the small ‘x’ next to the ‘Completed’ button on the bottom of pages that have been marked as complete.
In the top right of the homepage of a program / course, under the triple dot menu, members can find the "Leave" option. By leaving and coming back, this will reset the program and all of its subpages that have been marked as complete.
Generic Button
A 'Generic Button' action adds a customizable button fixed to the bottom of the page. This button can be linked to any URL or trigger a variety of actions, similar to the regular button block.
‘Then’ Field
With each action, you can set a 'Then' field that automatically triggers a subsequent action once the initial action is completed. This creates a streamlined process for users as they navigate through your content, allowing you to stack multiple actions in one workflow.
