The Calendar Block lets you embed a personalised calendar wherever you want inside your app. Add it to your homepage, programs, courses or community spaces to help members stay organised and engaged with scheduled content.

What is a Calendar Block?

A Calendar Block shows scheduled content in a visual calendar format with easy-to-read status indicators. Members can see what’s completed, what’s overdue, and what’s coming up next. Scheduled items can also filtered by specific content types

How to Add a Calendar Block

  1. In the app builder, navigate to the page where you want your calendar to appear.

  2. Click + Add Block wherever you want to place your schedule.

  3. Select Calendar Block from the block list.

  4. The block will render on your page, and you’ll see settings in the right-hand panel.

Calendar Block Settings

Once you add the block, you can configure how it behaves and what content it shows by clicking on it and modifying the settings from the 'Configuration' section in the righthand sidebar.

📆 View Mode

Choose how members view scheduled content:

  • Day view – Shows items for a single day at a time. Members can tap dates in the calendar strip to change the day.

  • Week view – Displays a whole week of scheduled items. Tapping a date will scroll you straight to that day’s schedule.

The calendar strip across the top always shows the week of dates for quick scanning.

🔍 Scope (What’s Shown)

You choose what scheduled content the calendar displays:

  • Any calendar – Combines both member-specific and global scheduled content.

  • Global calendar – Shows only content that’s scheduled globally for all members

  • Members calendar – Shows items scheduled for the current member (their program schedule, personal items, etc.).

  • This calendar – Shows only scheduled items that belong to the specific context where the block sits (e.g., inside a specific program).

What Members See

Members get a cleaner, more intuitive schedule experience:

  • Status markers – Icons appear next to date to show:

    • Completed

    • Overdue

    • 🟢 Upcoming (this colour of this icon is your primary brand colour)

  • Content thumbnails – Scheduled items display with visual thumbnails so it’s easier to recognise what’s coming up.

  • Tap-to-jump – Tap any date to jump directly to that day’s schedule.

  • Full Month View - When clicking the down arrow next to the month and year.

Why This Matters

This update is part of a wider effort to make schedules more personalised and more visible throughout your app. By letting you place calendars where they add the most value, and by making them easier to scan with clear visual cues, members are more likely to stay on track with their programs and content.

Best Practices

  • Put a Calendar Block on your homepage to give members a daily snapshot of their schedule.

  • Add calendars inside programs and courses for deeper engagement with scheduled content.

  • Use Day view for detailed, focused daily habits or tasks.

  • Use Week view for broader plans like weekly workouts or lesson pacing.
